With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alvin L. Rager of Thayer, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Rager and JoAnne Rager (Nunn); his mother-in-law Claudette Young; his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Rager, Tina McWilliams and Terri McWilliams; his sibling's children, Anthony Kubik, Josh Rager, April Claassen and Kassie Claassen; and his grandparents, Lonnie, Artie Lee Nunn, Frank and Ida Mae Rager.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Rager of Thayer; his daughter Madison Rager of Elkhart; his stepdaughters, Lacey Dalton of Thayer and Carissa Dalton of Thayer; his in-law Ted McWilliams (Judy) of Murray; his siblings, Bob Rager (Betty) of Emerson, Neb., Bill Rager of Emerson, Neb., Lela Rager of Sioux City, Lila Hadcock (Bob) of Decatur, Neb., Patti Pojar (Ken), Jackie Claassen (Rick) of Dakota City, Neb. and Paula Rager (Karen) of Sioux City; and his siblings-in-law, Tim McWilliams of Altoona, Trace Castillo (Paul) of Colorado and Tammy McWilliams of Afton.
