She was predeceased by: her parents, Tallenus Meyering (Tony) and Annie Meyering (Brass); her husband Menno Folkerts; her children, Donna Passmore, Gary and Dennis Folkerts; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Folkerts and Curtis Folkerts; and her siblings, Fred, Johnnie, Richard Meyering, Annie Wepel and Fannie Smidt.
She is survived by: her children, Vivian Lara of Ankeny, David Folkerts (Diane) of Thompson and Rick Folkerts (Abigail) of Des Moines; and her grandchildren, Michael Passmore (Lisa) of Kerkhoven, MN, Lisa Passmore (Jeremy) of Mapleton, MN, Krista Wait (Richard) of Algona, Melissa Folkerts of Fort Dodge, Cory Folkerts (Samantha Keiper) of Sexton, Stephanie Krein (Dan) of Cottage Grove, OR, Tina Bannister (Doug Hoisington) of Ankeny, Jennifer Bradley (Dennis LaGrange) of Cedar Rapids, Jessica Blasdell (Joshua) of Cedar Rapids, Dennis Folkerts, Jr. (Margaret Guerra) of Houston, TX, Tamara Price (Nick) of Buffalo Center, Tiffany Ahrens (Skyler) of Forest City, Ricky Folkerts of Forest City and Augusta Pike of Waterloo. She is also survived by 34 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Croix Hospice or to the Thompson Public Library in memory of Everdena.
