He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Parks and Dorothy Parks (Oltman); and his brother Rex Parks. He is survived by: his wife Sandi Mitchell; his family, Steven and ShyAnne Westerman; his daughters, Jori Showalter (Matt), Hampton and LeAnn Braun (Shane); his grandchildren, Cade Parks, Toby Braun, Jack Showalter, Emma Showalter, Charlie Showalter, Luke Showalter, Cecil Sprung, Osiris Westerman, Slayder Winfrey and Zayma Winfrey; and his brother Larry Parks (Anita).
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Thornton - Woodley Funeral Home (107 2nd St N, Thornton, IA 50479). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.
