He is survived by: his wife Junia Bideau; his children, Matthew Heying (Emma Swonson) of Pheonix, AZ, Christine Heying (JT Anderson) of Tiffin, IA, Nikki Johnson (Gerald) of Iowa City and Nicholas Brathwaite of St; his siblings, Colleen Michels, Louis Hying, Dean Heying, Gail Heying, Karen Cook, Elaine Fay and Joe Heying; and his grandchildren, JJ Desir, Jaydon Johnson and Lexi Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
