He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Zimmerman and Neva Zimmerman (Oliver); his wife Donna Sander; and his siblings, Carl Jr., Jerry and Betty Gunder.

He is survived by : his children, Janel Wenndt (Kirk), Rodney Zimmerman (Michelle), Tanya Sterner (Ben) and Carey King; his sisters, Wanona West, Marianne Valliere, Linda Zimmerman, Bonnie Breiholz (Arlen) and Carolyn Cumberlin; and also, Wayne and Jo Brown. He is also survived by his four children; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

“So very sorry to learn of Rowley’s passing, as well as the Leukemia. Hoping he’s met up with Carl now. You all must be having a difficult time & am hopeful your wonderful memories will also help you thru difficult grieving times. Our son, Scott & his family, also have fond memories of Rowley due to his numerous visits with them, when they’ve visited us in Cedar Rapids; his smiling face, kind & gentle manner & great stories Deepest sympathies-Pat Zimmerman, Scott, Sharon, Tyler, David & Kristin”
