He is survived by: his wife Connie Lee Thurston; his children, Tina Helmold of Tipton and Raymond Knouse of Cedar Rapids; his brothers, Tom Knouse, Dan Knouse and Richard Jensen; his grandchildren, Jordan Hora, Zachary Wurr and Dylan Helmold; and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Elliot and Lennon Hora.
