He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Banes and Ella Banes (Stary); his brother Albert Lee; and his nephew Tom Sankot. He is survived by: his wife Donna Suchy of Toledo; his children, Jeff Banes of Ankeny, Todd Banes (Kim) of Elberon, Annette Lacina (Don) of Tama and Pam Hala (Jim) of Toledo; his grandchildren, Jared Banes (Shevaun), Halie Dellamuth (Marc), Mitch Banes (Savannah), Shelbie Williams (Reese), Trent Banes (Kate), Derek Lacina (Katie), Devin Lacina (Sydney), Drew Lacina (Maddie) and Olivia Hala; and his sister Judy Sankot (Jim) of Jefferson. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
