It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene W. Monroe of Traer, Iowa, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Norden and Mabel Norden (Lorenzen); her daughter Marsha; and her siblings-in-law, Dale and Ann Monroe.

She is survived by : her husband Marvin Monroe; her children, Mark Monroe (Mary) of Dysart, Scott Monroe (Sandy) of Clutier, Pat Arp (Richard) of Dysart and Susan Wieck (Arlo) of Dysart; her grandchildren, Ryan Karr (Nicole), Chad Karr, Sarah Clark (Craig), Leah Rohrbach (Victor), Micah Monroe (Mackenzie), Ross Monroe (Ashley), Rachele Randall (Derrick), Reid Monroe (Natalie), Heidi Wieck and Kyle Wieck; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee Karr, Mallory, Anderson, Layla Karr, Molly, Sadie Clark, Gavin, Alayna Rohrbach, Cora, Elise, Cain, Nellie Monroe, Quinn, Landon and Riley Randall; and her stepgrandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Arp.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (800 S Main St, Dysart, IA 52224). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Dysart Cemetery (1946 X Ave, Dysart, IA 52224).
