He was predeceased by: his parents, Oran Schellhase and Lucille Schellhase (Kirkwood); his wife Mary; his brother Paul Schellhase; his nephews, Danny Schellhase, Jeff Rommann and James Kladivo; and his brother-in-law Ed Kladivo.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Schellhase (JoAnne), Laurie Gentner (Bryan), Amy Devin (James), Cory Schellhase and Carrie Schneider (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Owen Gentner (Moriah), Justin Devin (Madison), Molly Devin, Jack Schellhase, Spencer Schellhase, Marlie Schneider and Ashlyn Schneider; his great grandchild Athena Gentner; and his sister-in-law Carol Schellhase.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Don's name to the Traer Fire Department.
