He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Jantzen and Alma Jantzen (Sieck); his wife Marry Ann; and his siblings, Betty Jantzen, Harold and Lyle Jantzen.

He is survived by : his sons, Jeffrey, Mike Jantzen (Sandy) of Tama, Tim Jantzen of Traer and Jeff Jantzen (Kelly) of Dysart; his grandchildren, Sara Montgomery (Dustin) of Newburg, Alaina Mask of Traer, Emily Crosby (Jake) of Dysart, Madison Jantzen of Iowa City and Tommy Jantzen of Dysart; his great grandchild Jackson Mask of Traer; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Jantzen of Vinton and Betty Jantzen of Tama. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
