He was predeceased by: his parents, William Staker and Edith Staker (Nessler); his wife Verona Langenbau; his son Kendall; and his siblings, Lemoine Staker (Leila), Roland Staker (Lorraine) and Lucille Beck (Charlie).
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Youel (Josh) of Traer, Dawn Crawford (Ken) of Riverside and Tammi Hamilton (Scott) of Clear Lake; his daughter-in-law Lynn Staker of Traer; and his grandchildren, Leigh Sell (Tyler), Megan Alaghmandan (Soheil), Brent Staker (Danielle), Dylan Youel (Madi), Josie Hulme (Dalton), Alec Crawford (Kim), Cole Crawford (Lauren), Breanna Wieck (Rudy) and Bryson Hamilton (Paige). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ripley United Church of Christ (400 S Main St, Traer, IA 50675). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund will be established.
