He is survived by: his wife Dawn Brekke; his child Tanden Brekke (Erin); his grandchildren, Micah, Annika, Reilley and Eva; his child Ty Brekke (Lori); his grandchildren, McKenna, Wyatt, Cadain and Alexis; his children, Jeana Brekke, Aunew Brekke, Devi Brekke, Abhi Brekke and Shouly Norem (Kordell); his grandson Bennett; and his son Wilson Brekke.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Dennis Brekke.
