He was predeceased by: his parents, George Errol "Huck" and Ardis K. Johnson (Froning); and his brother Lynn (Margaret). He is survived by: his sons, Kim (Judy), Pat, Jan (Sharon) and Kipp (Jana); his grandchildren, Britni, Jamey, Sydney, Carson and Casey; and his great grandchildren, Clara, Henry, Everett, Waylon and Kaden. He is also survived by many cousins and good friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Union Church of Christ (501 Commercial St, Union, IA 50258).
