She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gosselink and Gertrude "Gertie" Gosselink (VerSteegh); her husband Stanley DeYoung; her siblings, Harold Gosselink, Russell Gosselink, Robert Gosselink, Lester Gosselink, Donna DeJong and Donald; and her siblings-in-law, Florence Gosselink, Jean Gosselink and Nick DeJong.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Middleton (Keith) of Pasco, WA, Carolyn Munyon of Noblesville, IN, Dan DeYoung (Joy) of New Sharon and David DeYoung (Connie) of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Kyle Middleton (Katherine), Lisa Middleton-Smith (Chris), Sarah Minnick (Josh), Brad DeYoung (Kelly), Jacque DeYoung (Dex Ford), Jeremy DeYoung (Ann), Carrie Abbas (Aaron) and Cassie Formaro (Billy); her great grandchildren, Savannah Johnson, Sierra Johnson, Gabbie Minnick, Julia Minnick, Dalton DeYoung, Jordan DeYoung, Delaynie Ford, Elizabeth DeYoung, Emma DeYoung, Ashley DeYoung, Tyler DeYoung, Saylor Abbas, Spenser Abbas, Seth Abbas, Billi Formaro, Zackary Formaro, Chandler Formaro, Carmella Formaro and Vincenzo Formaro; her great great grandchild Jeffrey Ryan-DeYoung; her sister Marilyn Schultz; and her siblings-in-law, Norma Gosselink and Wendell Schultz. She is also survived by Her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Union Mills Christian Church (1403 Parkin Ave, New Sharon, IA 50207). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Mills Christian Church.
