Dorothy left this world on October 4, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Lockman and Lavona Lockman (Robb); her husband Joe Smith; her son Larry Smith; her siblings, Maxine Burdock and Billy Lockman; her son-in-law Robert Babbitt; and her grandson-in-law Donnie Hedgecock.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Babbitt of Unionville, IA, Sandy Snow of Unionville, IA and Billy Joe Smith (Crystal) of Centerville, IA; and her grandchildren, Micki, Shane (Spud), Jamie, Joey, Jason, Traci, Travis, Brandy and Darrick. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Funeral Home-Moravia (103 N John St, Moravia, IA 52571). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
