He is survived by: his wife Belva Cormeny; his children, Janiece Douglas (Mark) and Brian Ellison (Rochelle); his grandchildren, Nicholas Reese, Jalynn Douglas, Avery Douglas, Railee Ellison, Felecia Porter and Blake Ellison; his great grandchild Autumn Chapman; his sister Carole Shahan (Leon); and his stepsiblings, Wayne Boland (Brenda), Jon Boland (Patty), Lori Boland and Dana Cameron.
