It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvera Esther Mindermann of Urbandale, Iowa, born in Milbank, South Dakota, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Rasmussen and Frieda Rasmussen (Bihrle); her husband Harold Mindermann; her grandson Kyle Muench; and her siblings, Arles Kumpula, Claretta Matti and Donald Rasmussen.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Muench Boone (Ted Blum), Jan Antelman Des Moines (Mike) and Paul Mindermann Indianola (Julie); and her grandchildren, Tony Antelman Ankeny (Angelina), Jesse Antelman Ankeny (Rachel), Chelsea Muench (Wes Davis) and Ashley Shadu-Fry Indianola (Zach).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (8301 NW Aurora Ave., Urbandale, IA 50322). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
