He is survived by : his spouse Jan Gibson; his children, Sue Rosien (Jeff) and Dan Bolsem (Ashley); his grandchildren, Ashley Shields (Ryan), Morgan Schumacher (Brent), Jameson Rosien (Alex), Arbor Bolsem, Thatcher Bolsem and Sutton Bolsem; and his great grandchildren, Jack Shields, Lia Shields, Brynn Schumacher, Chandler Schumacher, Kellen Schumacher, Finley, Holden and Emerson Rosien.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Scotch Ridge United Presbyterian Church (13015 Scotch Ridge Rd, Carlisle, IA 50047). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
