He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Peterson and Ruby Peterson (Jack). He is survived by: his wife Francie Peterson (West Des Moines); his sons, Ross Peterson (Jenilee) of Lakeville, MN and Alex Peterson (Kate) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Nola Elizabeth Peterson and Henry Jack Peterson of Lakeville; and his sister Joan Gabriel (Terry) of Mesquite, NV..
Memorials can be made to two Des Moines-area charities: Orchard Place or Hope Ministries.
