With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Hamand of Urbandale, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joanne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joanne farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Paullin and Clara Paullin (Allen); her brother Bernard; her sister-in-law Veda Paullin; her sister Dolores; her brother-in-law Paul Muilenburg; and her close friends, Herb Hilding and Otis Anderson.
She is survived by: her son Andrew; her daughter-in-law Carmen Gardiner of Maple Plain, MN; and her pet Buddy. She is also survived by one grandson and two great-granddaughters.
