He was predeceased by : his father Darrell Koester (Phyllis Koester); and his grandparents, Alfred, Ruth Koester, Richard and Ruth Coppinger.

He is survived by : his wife Denise Koester (McDaniel); his children, Cole, Brandon, Kylie, Kaitlyn and Brianna; his mother Phyllis Koester; and his brothers, Brett, Kraig (Michele) and Steve (Katie).
