With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ann Grieb (Urbandale, Iowa), who passed away on December 4, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ann Grieb to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Grieb; her son Roger Grieb; her son-in-law Steven Tarries; her parents, Edward Gunia, Sr and Albina Gunia, Sr. (Zuchniak); and her siblings, Edward Gunia, Jr. (Bonnie), Margaret Mary Gunia and Leonard Gunia.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Tarries, Barbara Arends (Mark), Terry Grieb (Eve) and Steven Grieb (Jenny); her daughter-in-law Wendy Grieb; her brother Richard Gunia (Rosemary); her sister-in-law Mary Lou Gunia; and her sister Loretta Kelly (Rich). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322). Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Boniface (1200 Warrior Ln, Waukee, IA 50263).
In lieu of flowers, Mary Ann would love it if you would have a Mass said for her in your home parish. She would also appreciate donations to the Iowa Food Bank Association.
