She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Brusek and Juanita Brusek (Holton); her husband Richard Lee Groth; and her sons, Robert Maier and Randy Groth.
She is survived by: her children, John Maier and Kris Smith; and her grandchildren, Brandon Carroll, Emily Fuson, Max Maier, Franka Maier and Jan Maier. She is also survived by three great grandsons as well as other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church (1910 Locust St, Granger, IA 50109).
