He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Filter and Sarsa Ellen Filter (Fairchild). He is survived by: his wife Connie Gile; his daughters, Elizabeth Ann Mazan of Des Moines, Angela Sue Gile-Petefish (Nick) of Des Moines and Jennifer Caroline Gile of Des Moines; his grandsons, Quinton, Jarod, Austin and Daniel; his great grandchild Liam; and his brother William V. Filter of Lexington, KY..
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the The Salvation Army (1330 6th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50314).
