He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Nims and Lea Marcia Nims (Carlson); and his brothers, Dwayne, Gregory and David Nims.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Nims of Urbandale, Iowa; his daughter Jessica Bennett (Aaron) of Waukee, Iowa; and his grandsons, Cade, Lenny, Corbin and Carter Bennett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to EveryStep Hospice or the National Scleroderma Foundation.
