She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fast and Bernice Fast (Bohm); her husbands, John Short and Homer Cannon; her children, Rickey Short, Rhonda Bedsaul and Rebecca Bedsaul; her brothers, Darrell "Bucky" Fast (Sheryl) and James Fast; and her grandson Caleb John Short.
She is survived by: her daughters, Renee Nawanna (Chaow) of Dunlap and Regina Short of Blencoe, Iowa; her sons-in-law, Ronald Bedsaul of Dow City and Richie Bedsaul of Sutherland, Iowa; her siblings, Sherlane Wingfield of Pacific Junction and Jack Fast of Arkansas; and her sister-in-law Sharon Fast of Manning, Iowa. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
