Deryl Hennings Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deryl Hennings (Ute, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deryl Hennings to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Hennings and Esther Hennings (Meseck); his brother Warren Hennings; and his brothers-in-law, Barney Barnett and Ron Rude.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hennings of Ute; his children, Julie Nower (Joe) of Decatur, Mary LeFave (Shannon) of Hebron, Eric Hennings (Miranda) of Denison, Kevin Hennings (Ginger) of Altoona and Sara Purcell (Chuckie) of Whiting; his grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, William, Grace, Aidan, Caitlin (Logan), Riley, Jayden of D'laynee, AJ, Shane, Gavin, Keivin, Duncan, Maggie, Tregan, Jordan, Lily, Ryan, Parker and Kendyl; his great grandchildren, Baylor and Watson; his sisters, Gloria Barnett of Ute and Cinda Rude of Ankeny; and his sister-in-law Eileen Hennings of Ricketts. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (303 E 4th St, Ute, IA 51060). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the Saint Clair Cemetery (141 IA-141, Ute, IA 51060).
Memorials may be directed to Camp Okoboji in Deryl's honor.
