James Leo Randles Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Leo Randles of Van Meter, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Randles and Francis Randles; his son Michael Randles; and his siblings, Charles, Gene, Rick Randle and Helen Newby.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughter Jaime Smolik (Mark); his grandchildren, Cameron Smolik, Jaxon Smolik, Shae Smolik, Sidney Smolik and Alexandra Smolik; his siblings, Joan Rufer (Gary), Vicky Northup (Dan), Willene Battles (Bob) and Jack Randles; and his brother-in-law Donald Quick (Mary Jane).
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in loving memory of Jim.
