He is survived by: his significant other Glenn Sargent; his brother Steve Van Meter (Kendra) of New London, MN; and his sibling's children, Jeff Enlow (Val), Maren Walstrom (Tyler), Raelin Van Meter (Dean) and Josh Sampson (Bailey).
