Douglas G. Phinney Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas G. Phinney of Ventura, Iowa, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Douglas has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Phinney and Elaine Phinney (Harrington); his wife Leeza Knop; his sons, Brandon Phinney of Klemme and Justin Phinney of Mason City; his girlfriend Betty Jane Moore of Ventura; and his brothers, Dean Phinney (Teresa) of North Liberty and Don Phinney (Sue) of Clear Lake. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
