In loving memory of John Hughes (Villisca, Iowa), born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who departed this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hughes and Phyllis Hughes (Maca); his siblings, Matthew Hughes, Debbie Edwards, Paula Sanders and Geralyn Kester; and his niece Maylissa Kester.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughters, Angela Giancola (Dave) and Patricia Higgins (Chris); his grandchildren, Gianna, Layla, Dominic Giancola, Hannah, Alivia, Samuel and Jessa Higgins; and his siblings, Linda Reed (Wayne), Nancy Ehlers (Jim), Monica Steffen (Garry), Chris Hughes (Cindy), Bruce Hughes (Peggy) and Bartholomew Hughes. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
