He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Holst; and his siblings, Yvonne Zimpfer and David. He is survived by: his son Logan Holst; his mother Doris M. Holst (Rath); his sister Yvette Baker (Frank); his brother-in-law Rick Zimpfer; his significant other Karen Ackman; and his nephews, Shelby Baker (Ashley) of Vinton, Thad Dulin (Sarah Peterson) of Vinton and Jared Baker (Janette) of Cedar Rapids.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E 6th St, Vinton, IA 52349). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
