He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Higdon and Marlys Higdon (Grimm); and his wife Victoria Harden. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Higdon (Winter) of Vinton; his children, Ryan Higdon of Vinton, Anthony Higdon of Vinton, Matt Rommann of Cedar Rapids, Nichole Monat (Ben) of Cedar Falls and Laura Mourlam (Matt) of Walker; his grandchildren, Kylee, Riley and Kinley Higdon; his daughters, Venna, Kason, Nicala Higdon, Gabe, Isabella Monat, Allison and Emily Mourlam; and his sisters, Nancy Guyer (William) of Pleasant Hill and Sue Erickson (Rick) of Vinton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Remembrance Vinton American Legion Hall (105 N R Ave, Vinton, IA 52349).
