He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harvey T. McNeal and Lola Mae McNeal (Stammer); his wife Glenna McNeal (Phelps); his children, Greg (Tammie), Brandon (Kari), Leiha (Jess), Nate and Quentin (Rachel); his grandchildren, Kaden, Patience, Jayden, Maddy, Jaxson, Kelyn, Rainy, Nolyn, Roman and Amelia; his siblings, David McNeal (Karen) and Mary Barkdoll (Steve Gordon); his parents-in-law, Junior and Earlene Phelps; his brother-in-law Gale Barkdoll; and his daughter-in-law Stephanie Adam. He was also cherished by extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (516 2nd Ave, Vinton, IA 52349).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Darryl’s memory.
