He is survived by: his wife Diane Albertsen; his daughters, Renee Schnurr (Michael) of Roland and Robin Pippert of Vinton; his grandchildren, Gibson Schnurr (Isabelle) of Stockholm, Maggie Schnurr of Chico, Thor Shoemaker (Mercedes) of Cedar Rapids and Jovis Shoemaker of Ames; and his sister Shirley Benfer (Terry) of Cedar Rapids.
