With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Edward Clerkin of Vinton, Iowa, who passed away on December 18, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his brother Pat Clerkin (Marlene); his nieces, Sue Franz (Terry), Cindy Flander (Randy) of Keota and Kathleen Buscemi (Tony) of Elmhurst, Illinois.; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan Franz (Allison), Christopher Franz (MaryKate), Shaun Flander (Mary), Kelli Schmidt (Adam), Olivia and Ava Buscemi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Peace Officers Association or the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
