He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arlin Hanson and Virginia Hanson (Halvorson); his wife Dianne Schwartz of Vinton; his son Ross Hanson (Morgan) of Vinton; his grandchildren, Samuel, Sullivan and Sophia of Vinton; his siblings, Wendy Van Gorp (Robert) of Cedar Falls, Sandra Elsbernd (Keith) of Calmar, Randy Hanson (Lisa) of Decorah and Brian Hanson (Rachel) of Decorah; his sister-in-law Roxann Schwartz (Gary Rees) of Guthrie Center; his pet Peanut; and his in-laws, Alfred and Shirley Schwartz.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the The Well (417 1st Ave, Vinton, IA 52349).
A memorial fund has been established for the family to direct as Greg would have desired.
