She was predeceased by: her parents, Harris Tharp and Netha Tharp; her husband John Edmond Gibbs; her sons, Danny and John Jr. Gibbs; and her sister Rosemary Williams (Kenneth).
She is survived by: her son Timothy Gibbs (Theresa) of Anamosa; her grandsons, Dustin Gibbs (Lauren), Seth Gibbs (Stephanie), Tim Gibbs Jr. and Robert Gibbs (Brittany); her daughters-in-law, Carol Gibbs of Vinton and Sheryl Gibbs of Waterloo; and her sister Bobett Resse (Lyle) of North Carolina. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in Lee's name.
