He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hawley and Ruth Hawley (Featherkyle); and his son Charles Hawley. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hawley; his daughters, Michele Ricardo (Alfredo) and Tammy Ryan; his grandsons, Brian Hawley (Katelyn), Chris Hawley (Megan) and Travis Ryan; his great grandchildren, Pierce Hawley and Everett Hawley; his stepdaughter Saundra Dygert (Bill); and his stepgrandchildren, Sara Dygert and Allie Dygert.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E 6th St, Vinton, IA 52349). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Urbana Cemetery (3243 County Highway). A reception will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Urbana American Legion Hall (204 W Wood St, Urbana, IA 52345).
