He was predeceased by: his father Joel Francis; and his brothers, Ronald D. Meek and J. Scott Meek. He is survived by: his mother Janet Louise Meek (Hagge) of Vinton; his children, Travis Meek of Traer, Tristan Winkelpleck of Waverly, Brandi Meek of Waterloo, Keisha Pullin (Tim) of Readlyn and Grace Winkelpleck of Waverly; his grandchildren, Kameron, Kaidon, Wesley, Alyssa, Riley and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Emery, Everett and Cohen; his sister Diana Bramow (Dennis) of Vinton; his nephew Joshua Stock (Lisa); his nieces, Jessica Meyer (Scott) and Kristin Hackbarth (Tyler); and his pet Willy. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
