She was predeceased by: her parents, Mearl Jones and Lillian Jones (Alcott); her son Charles Hawley; and her siblings, Mearl Jones, Jr., Marcia Peterson and Evelyn Bland.
She is survived by: her daughter Michele Ricardo (Alfredo) of Marion; her grandsons, Brian Hawley (Katelyn) of Urbana and Chris Hawley (Megan) of Urbana; her great grandchildren, Pierce and Everett of Urbana; her sisters, Sue Kerkman of Vinton, Luetta Rider of Vinton, Nancy Gray of Vinton and Mary Jean Fall of Vinton; and her pet Fluffy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home (1212 1st Ave, Vinton, IA 52349).
A memorial fund has been established.
