He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hupfeld and Edna Hupfeld (Grimm); his son John Hupfeld; his sister Janice Schirm (David); and his siblings-in-law, Art Carlson, Stanley Wolken, Rose and Leon Borcherding.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Hupfeld (Linda) of Readlyn and Melody Snobl (Wes) of Vinton; his daughter-in-law Judy Hupfeld of Vinton; his sister Elaine Carlson; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Wolken of Marshalltown. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home (1212 1st Ave, Vinton, IA 52349).
