He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Barkdoll and Isabelle Barkdoll (Arthur); his siblings, Marilyn Buresh, Leah Petersen, Art Huebner, Karl, Jerry, Richard, Gale and Robert Barkdoll (Bobby); and his children, Kim Silver and Jeff Barkdoll (Brenda).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Barkdoll (Hickey); his brothers, Allan, Don Barkdoll (Maggie) and Gary Sojka (Sandy); and his children, Debi Luty (Mike), Wanda Barkdoll, Steve Barkdoll, Corky Silver, Lori Link, Susie Randolph (Ben) and Jason Barkdoll (Karrie).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Stead Family Children's Hospital at the University of Iowa.
