He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis G. Podhajsky, and Emma Podhajsky, Sr. (Buresh); his brothers, Louis, Harry and Lester Podhajsky; his nephews, David and Gary Goebel; and his brothers-in-law, Arnold Turnis and Jim Goebel.

He is survived by: his sisters, Marcella Turnis and Barb Goebel; and his sister-in-law Edith Podhajsky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established.
