He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Hagenow (Boevers) and John Henry Hagenow; his daughter-in-law Diane Hagenow; and his sisters, Gladys Piehl, Florence Wille and Donna Hagenow.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Heine; his children, Rebecca (Jerome), John R. (Paula), Lynn (Anthony) and Robin (Francis); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Matthew, Kylie, Rachael, Nicholas, Mikayla, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Barry, Becky, Chad and Allan. He is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (2022 Larrabee Ave, Waverly, IA 50677). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (2022 Larrabee Ave, Waverly, IA 50677). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery (2022 Larrabee Ave, Waverly, IA 50677). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (2022 Larrabee Ave, Waverly, IA 50677).
