He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Joyce and Mary Ann Joyce (Hoffman); his wife Hazel Alden; his daughter Norma Johnson; and his siblings, Marvin Joyce and Jane Anne Grayston Luce.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nadine Smith (Steven) and Marlene Mills (Dennis); his close friend Arlene Zabokrtsky; his grandchildren, Teresa LaMere (Jaime), Nathan Johnson (Nicole), Sean Smith (Lisa), Laura Gordon (Brett), Connie Quaas (Chad), Stacia Smith (Clint), Melanie Minteer (Jim), Martin Mills (Krista), Michael Mills (Tiffany) and Devin Mills (Karla); his sister Donna Miller; and his sister-in-law Kathyrn Joyce. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murdoch Funeral Home (622 Main St S, Center Point, IA 52213). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Troy Mills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the care of Nadine Smith.
