It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deloris Allen (Walnut, Iowa), who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Deloris departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Deloris may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Deloris leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Voss and Mabel Voss (Lorenzen); and her husband Robert. She is survived by: her sons, Jan Allen and James (Gia Allen); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Colonel Matthew Brady) and Jonathan Allen; and her great grandchildren, Bryce and Blakely.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Peace United Church of Christ (404 North St, Walnut, IA 51577). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Layton Township Cemetery.
