He is survived by: his children, Bobbie McDermott (Jim) of Walnut, IA, Marc Rechtenbach of Shelby, IA and Eric Rechtenbach of Walnut, IA; his sisters, Elma Schrader of Jefferson, IA and Norma Darling of Council Bluffs, IA; his granddaughters, Megan Andersen (Brian) of Omaha, NE, Nellie Popp (Brian) of Sioux Falls, SD and Annabelle Soppe (Jonathan) of Platteville, WI; and his sisters-in-law, Susan Robison and Patsy Mattas (Bill). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many friends.
