Robert Ponsar Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Ponsar of Walnut, Iowa, who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Ponsar to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Louis Ponsar; and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Ann Hamlett-Ponsar (Hamlett) of Ottumwa, Iowa; his children, Michelle Prideaux of Windsor Heights, Iowa and Robert Ponsar Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida; and his siblings, Jayne, Karen, Jennifer, Cassandra, John, Greg and Mark. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Layton Township Cemetery (51000 Westgate Rd, Walnut, IA 51577).
Memorials may be made to the family for later designation to a local alcohol treatment program.
