He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Winterhof and Irene Winterhof (Brown); his parents-in-law, James and Persis Coalter; his brothers, Gordon, Kenny and Ron; his siblings-in-law, Judy Winterhof, Jan Winterhof and Joe Gregor; his nephew Chad; and his pet Rambo.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Coalter; his children, Brent Winterhof (Theresa) of Center Point, IA, JoDee Winterhof (Deena Fidas) of Chevy Chase, MD and Adam Winterhof (Katie) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Winterhof of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Gavin (Libby), Colin (Jourdan), Logan, Lux, Grace, Will, Carolyn, Brenna, Lillah and James; and his great grandchildren, Emmet, Lilly, Bella, Hobbes, Murray and Leo. He is also survived by many extended family members, colleagues, friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. A burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Galva East Township Cemetery E County.
